Who Am I?
A son. A father. A number. A free man. A traveler on this blue planet.
Three Truths and a Lie
One summer I read over 200 books. I ran over a mountain when I was 12. I did not graduate from high school. I win all the popularity contests.
What Do I Want?
I would like meaningful work helping people. I enjoy coaching soccer and being a father, but that won’t pay the bills. If you have something to offer, feel free to get in touch.
My résumé is a work-in-progress, like life. I’ve been working in the operations side of information technology since 1994, primarily in system administration — what the kids these days call DevOps — after accidentally becoming the IT department at a small print shop. I no longer wish to serve the computer, but am uncertain how to switch fields while keeping my family in the manner to which we’ve become accustomed.
What Am I Doing Here?
I’m writing. I speak a little bit about my current intentions with this website in Publish, or Die Trying. The primary purpose of the site is not personal brochureware, but for me to practice and, one hopes, improve. The work might be a bit unvarnished.
All of the opinions expressed here are mine and do not reflect the views of any employers, past or present. They can speak for themselves.
Touch Me.
Disagree with me. Help me become better. Comment on one of the posts, or use the contact form below. Sometimes I think the only things on the Internet are spammers and robots and robot spammers. Is there anybody out there?
I’m far too active for my own good on various asocial media platforms. Look for cwcoxjr. Mastodon is of recent interest.
