Misdirection

The Netcraft web server survey notes the demise of some 3 million parked domains and template-produced placeholders. Yesterday my wife was trying to show the Big Sister the Playhouse Disney website so she could play with Clay. But all she found was a gambling parlour — a gambling parlour that not only, as far as the URI is concerned, poses as Disney, but also displays pop-under and pop-up windows on entry and exit in order to further confuse the visitor. The problem is that the nominal owner of the domain is in Pakistan. Maybe there'll be some collateral damage.
