Look, Ma, No Ads!

MyWay [via The Google Weblog], a portal without (the annoying) advertising. This New York Times article notes that MyWay is built by the same people who brought us iWon and who now own Excite.

With their existing technology and relations with content providers, they figured they could run another portal with very little incremental cost.

Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water

Jon Udell is experimenting, as noted, with VoIP.

But at other times, I've forgotten that I'm talking over IP rather than POTS, until I wander by my DSL router and see all the lights blinking like crazy.

Someone needs to bridge the airgap between different views of the Universe so we can get a move on.
